Educational Access Schemes
The University of Technology Sydney sees the diversity of its student community as a positive feature of university life. The University provides educational schemes and pathways to ensure that people from the widest range of backgrounds have an opportunity to access our courses.
The following schemes assist applicants to gain entry to UTS courses, taking into account a range of educational disadvantages that may have impacted on their most recent academic performance.
- The inpUTS Educational Access Scheme is for applicants who have never attended university or completed a TAFE Diploma.
- The UTS Special Admission Scheme is for applicants who have previously enrolled in a university course, and for refugees who may not have access to documentation of their past education.
- The TPV Refugee Scholarship Scheme is for applicants who are holders of Temporary Protection Visas. Most UTS faculties offer two fee-free places to recent and non-recent school leavers.
- The Jumbunna Indigenous Educational Program is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
