EO Training and Development
UTS is required to ensure that all staff are aware of their Equal Opportunity (EO) rights and responsibilities, and that members of equity target groups have access to training and developmental opportunities.
The Equity & Diversity Unit provides training and development programs with two key aims:
1. To provide professional development and support for members of equity target groups. Options include:
- Women@UTS
- Professional Development for Indigenous staff
- Skillmax English Language Skills in the Workplace
2. To inform all members of the University Community about their EO rights and responsibilities, and to promote inclusive practices. Sessions include:

- '1 in 5': Disability and Inclusive Academic Practice at UTS
- Deafness Awareness Training
- Australian Indigenous Cultures, Histories and Heritages Awareness Training
- Cultural Diversity Awareness / Anti-Racism Training
- Grievance Handling Modules 1-4
