Australian Indigenous Cultures, Histories and Heritages Awareness Training
UTS is committed to delivering cultural awareness training to areas that employ Australian Indigenous staff, a key component of the Wingara strategy. Work colleagues of the new employee, as well as supervisors, Deans or Directors where appropriate, are involved in creating a work environment that is culturally affirming through awareness of Indigenous cultural needs and perspectives.
The Equity & Diversity Unit delivers practical cultural awareness training to staff in faculties and units at UTS and other universities. This training sets a foundation for the successful employment of Indigenous staff. Training can be delivered over a 1/2 day, 1 day or 2 days training program.
