If you are interested in attending university and your education was disadvantaged over a long time by circumstances beyond your control, you may be able to apply for admission to UTS through one of the special admission schemes:

Educational disadvantage,
for people who have experienced financial hardship, illness or disability, family disruption, language difficulties, attendance at a disadvantaged school and other long term disadvantages. -
Refugee,
for permanent resident (humanitarian) visa holder with previous academic or secondary qualifications, but no documentation of the qualifications due to my refugee experience. -
Elite athletes or performers,
for people with extensive elite level sport or performing arts commitments.
Applicants for the special admissions schemes must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
